L-A Pilots Club - The Way Flying Should Be
We are pleased you found your way to our website. Find out more about our Club and contact us if you have any questions.
The L-A Pilots Club is an organized group of pilots, based at the Lewiston-Auburn airport that cooperate to maintain and fly airplanes.
A Flying Club is arguably the best option for keeping the cost of flying reasonable. Members have access to aircraft not normally available for rental and for longer periods of time.
Our mission is simple: "to support General Aviation, promote flying as an enjoyable activity, and to make flying as safe and affordable as possible for all members".
The fixed costs of maintaining the airplanes are spread evenly across the members. The hourly rates for each airplane are based on actual operating costs. We are not in business to turn a profit renting airplanes so our members fly "at cost".
If you can't justify the expense and effort of owning your own airplane and you're tired of paying outrageous amounts for tired old FBO rentals, then the L-A Pilots Club is for you.
You can be notified of the next meeting or event by going to our Contacts page, and sending us a message.
We have regularly scheduled Membership & Board of Directors meetings at our Airport Office to exchange ideas, socialize and make important decisions that affect our Club.
We occasionally have a “hangar flying night” at Gipper’s. This is a casual meeting of members, local Pilots and friends sharing their experience and enthusiasm about all things Aviation. Gipper’s is located at 126 Center Street Plaza, Auburn, Maine, 04210 (207) 786-0715.
